The Moon, is a Natural Satellite that goes around the orbit of the 3rd planet called Earth. It's the only Natural Satellite we have for Earth and can be researched with Astronomy and Astrology. It can control the ocean tides, reflects sunlight, and can be useful for others help back in ancient times.

The days of the Moon that will complete its orbit is about like every 27.3 days, and because the Moon can reflect the sun's natural light, that makes the Moon glow, calling it "Moonlight".

Ever since the Moon was used as a Scientific Experiment and a Belief System for Astrology or Mythology like Moon Gods, there is a history or theory that made the Moon this way. There is a Scientific Explanation that explains how the Moon was born. In approximately 4.5 Billion Years Ago, a hypothetical Mars-sized Planet named "Theia" collided with the Early Born Earth. After this huge impact collided and crashed with the 3rd Planet, small rocks that are vaporized went into orbit, and was slowly turned into a grey ball shaped Satellite that takes care of the Earth now.

As the Natural Satellite can be first seen by all humans here at Earth, there is no "discovery" of the Moon by a single person. But there is one era that was from the years of 1600s, we can call this the "Telescopic Revolution". Somewhere in 1609, 2 Astronomers named Thomas Harriot and Galileo Galilei.

Thomas Harriot was a English Astronomer, Enthographer, and a Translator. How did he "discover" the Moon? Well, in July 26, 1609, he was the first astronomer to observe the Moon the record its information. And he is also the first astronomer to make an Astronomical Map.

Galileo Galilei was an Italian Astronomer, Physicists, and an Engineer. He was also called as a "Polymath". Galileo is often called as the Father of Astronomy Research and Modernized Science because he is the first scientist who revolutionized Astronomy and Physics through his own telescope and discovering theories about what the wonders is about in the whole wide Universe.

During the years of NASA'S population growing and its history of it, there is this one event that changed the whole world, the Apollo 11 Moon Landing...

In 1961, NASA had began to plan a Moon Landing, following the Kennedy's 1961 mandate. They did test flights and engineering for their plan to successfully work for the Moon Landing event before the Apollo 11 completion. While those tests were being in progress, and the failures of test rockets like exploding, falling at the wrong direction, and moving at the wrong direction, a Black-Colored, Smart Mathematician named Katherine Johnson that works for NASA, was involved in making Apollo 11 a success. She critically calculated flight paths, trajectories, and backup charts. After she calculated the flight paths and the corrections for the Apollo 11 moon landing mission, 3 astronauts named Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins were called by NASA to go and participate on their breath-taking mission.

On July 20, 1969... During the Apollo 11 events, one quote changed the history of the whole planet Earth. "One small step of a man, one giant leap of mankind.". Meaning that Neil Armstrong was the first ever astronaut to take the first landing or step of the Moon, as the second step is for Buzz Aldrin (The first astronaut to be in Space was Yuri Gagarin, a Russian Astronaut).
